Your favorite Raider thespians have been brainstorming all summer about how to have a theatre season amid a global pandemic. Luckily, we and our fearless director Mr. Mark Swezey have gotten pretty creative! We are overjoyed to announce we WILL be putting on productions! We will be performing a Night of One Acts later this fall. All 3 One Acts were written to be performed through video conferencing and are about the pandemic. Mr. Swezey always encourages us to treat theatre as a mirror to the real world, and it doesn't get more reflective than this!

We also hope to perform Almost, Maine and Stocking Stuffers this semester. Our plan is to perform both of these virtually. However, our Rep Theatre classes still plan to have sets, costumes, props, and technical elements. Stay tuned for updates on these shows!

At this time, we do not have plans to hold annual events such as Theatre Certification Day and Backstage Pass Night. However, we will let you know if that changes. Perhaps we will find a way to hold these events safely in the future.

Theatre isn't the same without an audience. We want to make sure YOU can be a part of our virtual season this year. Things are constantly changing, and we want to keep you in the know! Follow us at Shawnee Mission South Theatre on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat, or check this website, for the latest news and most up to date information.
