Dear SMS Theatre Community, 

The SMS Theatre Department creates involved, high-quality productions that draw more than 7,000 people each year. In our 2024-2025 season, we will present a unique selection of musicals and plays. Producing these shows would not be possible without the generous support of our patrons! Your donations help cover expenses involved with all aspects of producing our shows, from scripts to playbills. Our student-led theatre program actively engages our students as they devote their time and energy to what they love. They work in an environment that utilizes creativity and collaboration to make something beautiful. Any contribution is greatly appreciated as we work tirelessly to bring you the magic of theatre!

> All donations are tax-deductible. You receive a charitable receipt for your donation.

> Patrons will receive ticket vouchers in the mail. These vouchers can be redeemed for a ticket in the lobby for any performance.

>  Tax-Deductible and Extra Benefits:
Money raised through tax-deductible donations cover expenses for all show  licenses, scripts, set construction, costumes, props and more. Patrons also receive special benefits like show vouchers, name recognition in programs and free desserts on Patron nights. See Patron brochure for benefit levels.

>   Annual Audience of more than 7,100 people: 
Our productions attract more than 7,100 community members — parents, students, teachers and friends — each year. Your support helps us build a bigger and broader audience!

>   Award-Winning Theatre Program: 
SMS Theatre has an award-winning theatre program that is growing. Our Thespian troupe has received several honors in past years including the induction of Mark Swezey (SMS Theatre Director) into the Kansas Thespian Hall of Fame in 2017. The number of students enrolled in theatre classes has increased by more than 30% in the last two years. Many of our alumni have developed successful professional careers in theatre (on stage and in technical theatre), following their experiences in SMS Theatre.
 
Our students work hard to deliver high-quality theatre productions and expand our audiences. Your donation will provide important funds that will benefit all students involved in our 2023-2024 season of shows. Thank you for your support!
